Leafing Out shares the many benefits of going green–even for those who aren’t the outdoorsy type. If your idea of getting outside is a sidewalk cafe, living an eco-friendly lifestyle can help you in the same ways as it does hard-core treehuggers.
It can save you money, improve your health, give you a traffic-free commute, and more.
I started this blog because I think many people aren’t aware of these other, less-celebrated reasons to go green–and I believe that if we’re to solve the challenges posed by global warming, we all need to work together.
My own interest in being environmentally friendly springs from a lifelong love of the outdoors and a respect for nature grounded in the spiritual.
But reducing carbon emissions comes down to math. Walking to the store rather than driving produces fewer emissions–no matter why the shopper chose to walk.
So here, let’s share ways to go green–for all reasons!
